The Circuito di Milano was constructed in 1922, and later became known as Monza. In creating this track for GPL, the goal was to make it a fun track for online racing. Very little effort was expended to make the track historically accurate. In basic plan, the track is quite faithful to the 1922 layout. However, the low banking of 1922 has been replaced with the high banking that was built in 1955. The track also includes modern features such as a wide track surface, forgiving curbing, and plenty of runoff area.

Screenshots (from various stages of development)

Taking the green flag. The start/finish line is along the back straight of the high-speed oval.

Through Curva Sud, the South Banking, after the start.

Out of Curva Sud, and heading onto the front straight (for the first time this lap). The exit of Curva Poca is seen on the left.

Glance to the right along the front straight and you'll see the scoreboard.

The field streams through Curva Grande.

After going through Della Roggia and the First Lesmo, the field now heads into Lesmo 2.

Out of Lesmo 2 and heading towards the underpass...

...and into Vialone (a.k.a. Ascari).

Fast and furious through Curva Poca, the "little curve" (if this were Monza, this would be Parabolica).

Out of Curva Poca and onto the front straight.

Another view of the exit of Curva Poca.

Wait, weren't we just here? Down the front straight, this time heading into Curva Nord, the North Banking. This is an older shot, before the addition of the scoreboard and flag poles.

Through Curva Nord and crossing over the road course, completing 10km of fun.
